The shell of a box type substation should pay special attention to safety protection, environmental adaptation, and daily maintenance during use. Specific precautions are as follows:
1、 Safety protection: eliminate electric shock and structural risks
Grounding and insulation inspection of the shell: Ensure reliable grounding of the shell (grounding resistance ≤ 4 Ω), regularly (quarterly) check whether the grounding bolts are loose and whether the grounding wire is corroded; At the same time, check the insulation layer of the shell body to avoid the risk of electric shock caused by metal exposure due to coating damage.
Anti external damage: The shell should be clearly marked with warning signs (such as "high voltage danger"), and it is prohibited to pile up debris, climb or collide around it; If installed in personnel activity areas, protective barriers or isolation belts should be installed to prevent accidental contact.
Door lock and sealing integrity: Non operation and maintenance personnel are strictly prohibited from opening the outer shell door. Regular inspections should be conducted to ensure that the door lock is intact and the sealing strip is not aged, in order to prevent rainwater and small animals (such as mice and insects) from entering the interior and causing short circuit faults.
2、 Environmental adaptation: cope with temperature, humidity, and adverse weather conditions
Heat dissipation management: In high temperature environments (such as outdoor in summer), it is necessary to check whether the ventilation openings and heat dissipation louvers of the shell are unobstructed and whether they are blocked by dust and debris; If a cooling fan or air conditioner is installed internally, it is necessary to ensure its normal operation to prevent the equipment from tripping due to overheating.
Waterproof and moisture-proof: before the rainstorm and plum rain season, check whether the waterproof shed at the top of the shell, the sealant at the joints are intact, and whether there is water at the bottom; In humid areas, it is necessary to regularly check whether there is condensation on the inner wall of the casing. Dehumidification devices can be installed to prevent metal parts from rusting and reduce electrical insulation performance.
Wind and frost resistance: For outdoor installations, it is necessary to confirm whether the fixed brackets and anchor bolts are firm to cope with strong winds and blizzards; In low-temperature areas (below -10 ℃), it is necessary to check whether the shell material is resistant to low-temperature cracking, and whether the internal cables and joints are damaged due to freezing shrinkage.
3、 Daily maintenance: Extend service life and ensure stability
Appearance and structural inspection: Clean the surface dust and oil stains of the shell every month, check whether the shell is deformed or dented, and whether the coating is peeling off; If it is a metal shell, it needs to be regularly repainted with anti rust paint; Non metallic shells (such as SMC composite materials) should avoid being scratched by sharp objects and prevent aging caused by long-term exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
Internal correlation inspection: When opening the casing for maintenance, it is necessary to first disconnect the high-voltage power supply and check whether the connection between the casing and the internal cabinet is firm to avoid poor contact caused by vibration; After maintenance, promptly close the outer shell door and restore the sealing state.
Regular testing: Every year, in conjunction with the overall maintenance of the substation, the grounding resistance and insulation performance of the shell are tested. Aging seals and ventilation components are replaced in a timely manner to ensure that the shell meets long-term usage requirements.
